Student Criteria

For the NZJJF C2 "Club Instructor" coaching course the applicant should be over 16 years of age and have been practicing Ju-Jitsu for a minimum of four years.  Ideally, they will hold at least a brown belt in Ju-Jitsu or equivalent Hapkido or Brazilian Ju-Jitsu grade.

For enrolment onto the course you will need to; 

  • complete the enrolment form, 
  • a copy of your latest ju-jitsu grade certificate, 
  • a copy of your previous coaching award certificate, 
  • a copy of your last First Aid certificate (from a recognized provider), 
  • a copy of your New Zealand drivers license
  • proof of address (for criminal convictions check) and 10 year address history.

C2 Course Assessment is a multi-choice and written exam and a coaching assessment to your lesson plan by a C2 qualified coach.

Satisfactory completion of all required assessments, police check and first aid is required before acceptance by the NZJJF Committee to the public register of instructors
