Student Criteria

For the NZJJF C3 "Advanced Instructor" coaching course the applicant should be over 18 years of age and have been practicing ju-jitsu for a minimum of six years, and coaching as a C2 level coach for two years. Ideally, they will hold at least a black belt in Ju-Jitsu or equivalent Hapkido or Brazilian Ju-Jitsu grade.

For enrolment onto the course you will need to; 

  • complete the enrolment form, 
  • a copy of your latest ju-jitsu grade certificate, 
  • a copy of your previous coaching award certificate, 
  • a copy of your last First Aid certificate (from a recognized provider), 
  • a copy of your New Zealand drivers license
  • proof of address (for criminal convictions check) and 10 year address history.

C3 Course Assessment is a multi-choice and written exam and a coaching assessment of you teaching a National Seminar session on a subject of your choice.

Satisfactory completion of all required assessments, police check and first aid is required before recommendation to the NZJJF committee for qualification to the Public Register of Instructors.
