Criteria

For the NZJJF Recognition of Prior Learning (ROPL) the applicant should be over 16 years of age and have been practicing Ju-Jitsu, Hapkido or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a minimum of four years.  Ideally, they will hold at least a brown belt in Ju-Jitsu or equivalent Hapkido or Brazilian Ju-Jitsu grade.

For ROPL you will need to; 

  • complete the ROPL form, 
  • a copy of your latest ju-jitsu grade certificate, 
  • a copy of your qualification certificate you want recognized along with information on course components, or a Budo Curriculum Vitae with achievements. 
  • a copy of your last First Aid certificate (from a recognized provider), 
  • a copy of your New Zealand drivers license
  • proof of address (for criminal convictions check) and 10 year address history.

Satisfactory submission of all required information, police check and first aid is required before acceptance by the NZJJF Committee to the public register of instructors at an assigned level.
